February 25, 2002 - Look out world, Nathan is officially walking now. He had previously taken a few steps at a time, usually with Lisa or I there to catch him, but tonight I looked up from reading a magazine to see him trucking across the room. After that there was no stopping him and he was walking all over the place. Of course we caught it all on video. |

February 2, 2002- Happy Birthday!!! Hard to believe it's been a year already, but we celebrated Nathan's first birthday today. Unfortunately, it looks like there will be six more weeks of winter as, in what is sure to become an annual tradition, Nathan saw his shadow. |

January 14, 2002 - OK, it's been a while since my last update. I admit it. Nathan has gotten a whole lot more mobile in the last couple of months and consequently we just haven't had much free time. He's been walking with the aid of some fingers to hold onto for some time now and "scootching" around on his belly, but on December 23 he took his first few halting solo steps. I'll try and get the video up soon. He's also just started crawling on his hands and knees instead of his belly. He babbles almost constantly, and although he had been making several word-like sounds we decided that his first official word was "duck", since he says it whenever he sees his rubber ducky. Now that the holidays are over, things are settling back down and I'll try to do better at keeping this thing updated. |

October 9, 2001 - Nathan has managed to pull himself up to a standing position for the first time. Lisa was playing with him on the floor before bedtime at around 9:00pm. He was sitting on her lap with his car seat in front of him and he just reached out and pulled himself up. He repeated the feat several times, and I was able to catch it on video. See the action. |

October 5, 2001 - As you may have noticed, I've changed the look of this page a little. I wanted to give it a cleaner look and add some more color. Hopefully it's an improvement. Everything continues to go well for us. Nathan is doing great. He's trying hard to figure out how to crawl, but he hasn't quite got it yet (for which his mother and I are thankful). He's a smart boy and I'm sure get it figured out soon, if he doesn't decide he'd rather just start walking instead. Also, I've added a couple of new pictures. |

| August 28, 2001 - We have teeth! Nathan was chewing on my thumb tonight and it felt like he had some teeth on the bottom. Nathan (very reluctantly) submitted to an examination and we saw that his bottom front two teeth had definitely broken through. |

| July 18, 2001 - Nathan had his 6 month checkup today (even though he's only 5½ months old). The doctor says he's doing great. He weighed in at 18 lbs. 10 oz. and is 27 inches long. That's in the 70th percentile for both size and weight. He's growing so fast. He got three shots, and has been cleared to try stage 2 foods. |

| July 8, 2001 - We just returned from cousin Jeff Clayton's wedding to Amy up in Cleveland and had a great time. Adam, Steph, Lisa and I killed some time between the wedding and the reception at our grandfather's favorite watering hole, the Time Out. They still have the same old bowling game that was there when he took us there as kids. I think he would have been proud to know his great grandson was there. Anyway, we wish Jeff and Amy the best. See all the pictures. |

| July 1, 2001 - Site Updated! A bunch of new baby pictures have been posted. Sorry I've been a little slow getting these up, but I've been pretty busy lately. I'm hoping to get a alot more stuff updated here in the near future. |

| May 28, 2001 - Nathan made his first plane trip today as he traveled with his mother to New York City. Lisa took the opportunity to visit the Big Apple with her friend Nancy so that they could see the garment district and other sites. They stayed with Nancy's brother while they were there and returned on Sunday the 3rd. They had a great time, and Nathan apparently did very well on the plane. |
